![]() ![]() You can try WASAPI exclusive mode now, and know if it's better or not than using ASIO4ALL. So perhaps you'd tried WDM but not WASAPI, or were following someone's directions who conflated WASAPI with WDM (I've seen that happen several times). WASAPI is newer than WDM and should allow more direct (lower latency). Maybe you tried WASAPI shared mode before, or didn't change buffer sizes for a more proper comparison, or something. I think A4A is a wrapper around WDM, not using WASAPI. With A4A I can record at 64 sample buffer, which is good enough for me. ![]() Of course, this was when W7圆4 was pretty new, so maybe later updates improved WASAPI, but I never bothered to check. I do not remember exactly what they were, anymore, but in the end I settled for A4A and I've been happy ever since. Early, when I had built this computer (2009?), I tried WASAPI and had some problems. ![]()
